Do I need to know anything about mahjong before I start?

No. The lessons assume you’ve never touched a tile. You’ll meet the tiles first, then learn the card, the Charleston, and how a turn works, one small step at a time.

How long does it take to learn?

Most players feel ready for a real game in less than a day. The lessons are short and hands-on, so you’re playing from the very first one.

Who will I play against?

Whoever you want. Play solo against three computer players, sit at an online table, or open a private table for your friends.

Can I play with my friends?

Do I need to buy a mahjong card?

No. Mahjong Pals includes its own card of fifty-seven hands across familiar categories, built into every table so it’s always one tap away.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Mahjong Pals runs in your browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. If you'd like it on your home screen like an app, the Install the app buttons walk you through it.

Does it work on my phone?
